Yes. Tennessee High School football is much better overall than Kentucky High School football. And it's not close. Tennessee even has separate state championship playoffs for private schools and public schools.

Thanks for that. At 218 private schools, that is certainly enough to have separate playoffs for private. 

By my quick count, there are 14 private schools in KY of the 223 football playing schools.

We all know we don't have enough private schools in KY to separate anything if anyone is thinking that.  More importantly, this is what Google had to say about Kentucky so I would say hold the presses on TN:

Is Owensboro going to make some post season noise? I know that O Cath upset sobered expectations over there, but there's  no way they are going out 2nd round or earlier right? Or is the west side of 5A strictly a two horse race between South and BG?

Owensboro can definitely beat South Warren, especially if the game is in Rash.

Tennessee is about 60% larger than KY in terms of population, from Census data, so I'm sure their number of high schools is approximately the same percentage larger.  

Worth noting, while I knew TN was bigger, I wouldn't have guessed it was THAT much bigger in terms of people (7.2 million vs 4.5 million).

More major cities, although I’m not sure of their exact populations.  Nashville, Memphis, Knoxville, Chattanooga.

No doubt, and I fully expected it was much larger, just wouldn't have guessed 60% larger.  I really like both Nashville and the Eastern Tennessee Communities (Knoxville, Chattanooga, the Tri-Cities, etc), not a big fan of anything in TN west of Nashville.

I know I’m bias but I think they can. They have the pieces it’s just not coming together yet and it hard to tell if they e had any real improvement since the O’Cath game because of extremely soft district schedule they play but good news we still have the Henderson game as measuring stick of where the Devils are before the playoffs. The OC will have to get more than just kenyata the ball to have consistent success on O…. I think there’s a chance O can make it out of the second round but as far as getting a ring that one might be all Douglass this yr especially if they go and handle Boyle like they’ve been doing the rest of there schedule.

We have our primary flaw that will prove painfully obvious at the end of this month.  I'd like to see O and Douglass face each other again, it's been a good series.
