January 7, 200719 yr That Dallas player should have dove for the ball on the hail Mary. He wasn't that far from it. Thought the same thing myself. This team had no heart at the end of the year.
January 7, 200719 yr Its a shame that the Cowboys were called for 4 pass interference calls that were questionable at best. Even Al Michaels mentioned that they were bogus on 2 occasions. Most of them were uncatchable balls, so the refs reverted to the defensive holding call on 2 or 3 of them. I have to pull for the Chargers now.
January 7, 200719 yr Dallas let this one get away from them, i do agree their were some bogus calls in this game.
January 7, 200719 yr Tough way to lose a playoff game. The ironic thing goes back to the Cowboys great four down goaline stand. For example, if the Seahawks would have scored it would have been a tie game and the Cowboys would have gotten the ball. They proved they could drive the ball down the field after that, and would have probably scored either on a touchdown or field goal making it 23-20, or 27-20. However, instead the Seahawks don't score, the Cowboys start from the two, fumble, results in a safety, Seahawks get the ball back and score. So its very ironic that if the Cowboys didn't make the stand they would have probably won, or the game would have at least went into overtime.........just something to think about.
January 7, 200719 yr Shouldn't Dallas have let Shaun Alexander run for a touchdown with 1:00 left? Seattle would have scored and kicked to make the score 28-20. However, Dallas would have got the ball on a kickoff (remember, they had run one back already) and would have had three timeouts to move down the field. They would have needed a touchdown and 2-point conversion, but the odds were better than a blocked punt and Hail Mary.
January 7, 200719 yr I've followed the boys for over 36 years. Been a fan through all types of weather. My patience, however, has grown thin over the past 5 or 6 years.I've been one even longer and I understand, but hang in there, they will be back soon.
January 7, 200719 yr Dallas sucks. Anybody got any suggestions for a new team to follow? Eh, I guess I would like to see either Alexander get a ring, or Peyton. Not sure though. Tough decision
January 7, 200719 yr Author That was a great tackle by whoever got Romo on that last play. The swipe of the feet might have saved Romo from bullying his way in for the TD. Congrats to the Seahawks & good luck next season to the Boys'.

The key question would be whether Alexander would have run all the way or had the presence of mind to go down somewhere before the end zone. If he went down before the end zone, and you look at the fact that Dallas got the ball back with only two seconds as it was, it's possible that Seattle would have had it for the entire time.
January 7, 200719 yr Maybe teams should start drafting longsnappers, holders, and kickers in early rounds. After watching the Bengals that is unbelievable.
