It's great for Lamar that he got paid and is now the highest paid QB ever...but Baltimore what are you doing??? Lamar's not even a top 5 QB in his conference, that and his recent injury history makes this deal seem awful risky.

The Baltimore Ravens have had record breaking revenue every year except in 2020 since Lamar Jackson has arrived.

At some point fans need to recognize that they care more about winning Super Bowls than most NFL teams do.  They are here to make money.  A Super Bowl would be nice but a majority of teams in the NFL aren’t actively competing for a Super Bowl.

At the time Mahomes’ contract was one of the best ever for a QB.  I’ll be surprised if Burrow’s isn’t the best ever for a QB.  If Burrow settles for less then he’s doing it wrong.

It is all about how the guaranteed money is structured. Mahomes still has the highest value contract by a pretty wide amount.

Good for Lamar! IMO he definitely deserved the contract he got. As much as many Bengal fans would not want to admit. If he doesn’t get hurt the last two years, the Bengals don’t win the division. Which the big question is can he stay healthy with his playing style, but if he does he is one of the best players to have in the NFL period IMO.

With that said even though it sucks that he is still in the division. I am glad that the Ravens are now having to pay a huge QB contract. One of the reasons why they been able to put together such a good roster these last few years is because of him being on a rookie contract. So much like the Bengals once they pay Burrow. The Ravens will now start losing some of their guys too.

Really? Lamar as great as he is, has been really bad in the playoffs.

Yes really. How he did in the playoffs has nothing to do with winning the division. Which in both years the Ravens were in decent control of the division until he got hurt.

I don't think even then the Bengals would have missed either playoff.
