I wouldn’t put much stock on a MaxPreps roster. I believe anyone can add names to them. He isn’t on the KHSAA and I haven’t seen him at practice.

It looks like John Odom is also on that same roster and he hasn’t suited up for the tigers since 2018. 

He’s yet to be at practice as far as I’ve heard. MaxPreps is about as useful as the weather man. 

From I heard from my Mayfield buddies if they get good QB play they said they can win it this year. Mayfield is Mayfield.

Us too, we still have a couple driving in everyday, I hope they stay the course.  Driving in is tough and I hope we get their families settled.  This is a BW thread so back to the Tigers for now but I hope to see another Tigers - Cards game this year.  I also have to again say thank you to all the BW folks and the many others across the entire state for the support they gave us in our darkest hours.  We are still in a mess but the support will never be forgotten.  I needed water a few days after the tornado and was directed to the huge number of supplies provided by Beechwood and got a couple cases of the water, it was obvious where it was from, the bottles had the Reds logo.  I kept a bottle and placed it on a shelf in my dining room.

I'm not sure I would say 2A is down. Maybe down from last year, when beechwood and LCA were more than likely top 15 teams in the entire state. 

LCA is still going to be very very good, Beechwood is still loaded, Mayfield will be better than last year as they return a ton, Murray should be super solid, along with Middlesboro being very good again. 

Walton-Verona returns a ton and should be improved, Green County returns a massive amount from an 11 win team and very well could be better than last year, Metcalfe return the best team they have had since more than likely 2007.

Owensboro Cath returns some nice pieces as well, along with Hancock county. Shelby Valley should also be very good too.  2A might not have the two top tier teams like they did last year, but it has some really good teams again.  

2A might be a little more competitive this year. Beachwood Mayfeild LCA still looks to be the top of the crop. Metcalfe should be fairly good. But personally don't think they will be better then the team last year. Murray like green depending on the ground game and both got beat in the same fashion to Mayfeild. Murray will be very competitive and possibly pull a couple upsets this year. Green looks to have been working hard in the off season. They return who I consider 2A most dangerous Duos Backs. SR Houchens and JR Seymour. There backfield has alot of expirence and alot of speed. Can they be two dimensional? Only time could tell. Green could possibly make some noise up in the playoffs. At the end of the day weather they are up or down its gonna be hard to beat the top 3. I'm excited for the start of Friday night lights.
