Garrard County losing some Stars to Boyle County?

Featured Replies

One is a done deal. The other is a hard rumor at this point. I just don’t see this turning out good (Between Coaching Staffs). There is going to be some BAD blood coming from these decisions. I was told that Boyle backed off both when Crutchfield got hired. Now, I think those rumors in themselves were false. It will be very interesting to see what comes of it. This won’t be a subtle transfer from what I am hearing.

First time I’ve ever heard of this news.

Rule 2 reads in part:

2. No disparaging, taunting, or boastful comments--especially between opponents trying to intimidate each other. This includes, name calling or personal attacks toward any member, username, team, or school.

4. No recruiting comments or allegations of KHSAA rules violations by any school, coach, player or booster are allowed. No comments about where any player lives, has lived, or where they are from in a recruiting context. This is not the place to report KHSAA violations. Feel free to contact Kentucky High School Athletic Association | KHSAA – Student-athletes of Today, Leaders of Tomorrow to report such violations, but do not discuss violations here.

Sometimes people forget where they came from.....

Hearing same thing, one is a done deal the other is in the air. If they land these two kids. Wow! Just wow! Game Changer for basketball and football!

Boyle does have a new performing arts academy.

Heard both are essentially done deals, 2nd is signing completion papers today... What a blow for Garrard County athletics...

I dont think their will be anything Garrard County can do about the transfer, with the new rules in place, all it takes is for a kid to have an address In Boyle County and they don't have to sit, they can get that anywhere, friend, family it doesn't matter.

If you were an athlete with college aspirations, would you choose Boyle or Garrard? Build it and they will come. All Boyle has to do is keep winning and athletes will pursue playing there.

If it's about winning then Boyle County if it's about getting seen in the football field I'm not sure. Damien Harris and WanDale Robinson didn't have to leave their high schools to become Division 1 stars. Just saying. I get the point, I get the argument on both sides, if kids leave voluntarily I'm all for it. That's not the point I don't think.

Damien and WanDale, those are good examples... ?

The new rules do not change anything for athletics. KHSAA has not changed their rules. A transfer still requires a change of address.

They don’t make athletic transfers! It’s always been academic transfers and surprisingly they don’t have any issues accepting the really good athletes who are also good students! Duh.
