Green County is open per the KHSAA vacant job postings. 

Have heard a couple younger guys as well as a couple older coaches who have applied for this.

Hearing that they are down to a final 3, two of which might include Bracken HC, Adam Reed and Thomas Nelson HC, Josh Kays.

Interesting, keep us posted.  I'm guessing Coach Reed and his two sons will be the favorite.

Rumor is pointing to Josh Kays getting this. Look for possible announcement within next week or so.

According to Anthony Wireman on twitter "Hearing from a good source that Green County High School has offered their head coaching job to Josh Kays. Kays was 18-13 at Thomas Nelson last season". 

Seems IF the guy from Bracken wanted the job it would have been a no brainer. I would say his sons are both top 10-15 players in their class within the state. 

Josh Kays has been officially introduced as Green County Boys Basketball coach via school facebook page. 

 

What school did he leave for?

Taylor County assistant is what I've heard. Not sure how accurate that information is however.

Taylor assistant coach is accurate. Believe this will keep a couple of kids who were thinking of transferring to Green at Taylor.

Yes assistant at Taylor now. Sounds like rumors of a good payday as well.

This is once again open after hearing the coach that was hired has taken an assistant coach position elsewhere.
