Nice schedule LCA!

Basically the 21 schedule part deuce the only change being Mercer instead of Boyle. Danville will be better this year but the district as a whole will still be down. The MC game out of the gate will be a huge challenge. Mercer will be a nice follow up to MC, followed by a CAL team who lost some weapons. It will be an early test for Belfry with life after Dixon. Then they travel 1.5 miles to play little brother in the Holy War followed by a long bus ride to the mountains to face a Pikeville team that has come away empty handed their last two trips to Eagle Valley. Ironically LCA's last two trips to Pikeville ended poorly for the Eagles. Doug Charles never backs away from a challenge and once again this is a get you ready for November type of schedule. At the end of the day I'm still not sure who competes with LCA before the state semi's in spite of losing 16 seniors (10 of which are signed or are signing to play in College). This years senior class is smaller but talented. The current roster boasts 17 juniors with several of them being D1 talent. It is also rumored that there may be some new carpet being laid in Eagle Valley. Now Matt Jones can't accuse them of cheating when they hang 50 on Middlesboro lol. 

Coach Doug "I want all the Smoke" Charles keeps doing #BigThings and makes it really hard to decide what game to cover every week.?

That opener will be a big time game.  Madison Central will be really tough next year.

LCA will be good but the seniors they lost was the real deal. I don't think the defense will be that great without Shelby and Morris and others. They will have two great RBs and a great QB. But like you mentioned, I don't see nobody in there district playing with them, and it wouldn't surprise me to see them at Kroger field again. 

Anyone know much about Coach John Hallock of LCA? Heard he was Defensive coach. 

He is now DC for Scott Eagles from what I'm hearing.

LCA had a great run over the last few years.  What all do they return?  Mercer returns a good line but lost all of their skill guys from last year to graduation.  Mercer could struggle early with while figuring things out with new skill guys.

Hearing Cutter Boley the QB at Larue County is transferring to LCA. If he comes that puts LCA right back in the 2A title hunt again.

What happens to their returning QB?

Returning QB should likely start as Boley has no real game experience.

 

The starting QB is going to be playing Receiver. If you think a power 5 kid with all the offers he has is transferring to sit on the bench you must be kidding! Boley is coming in to start. 

They better hope they keep talent because if they ever have a down year they would get destroyed. But if they seen a bad class coming they would adjust the schedule I’m sure.

Let me get this straight ...

A QB who has thrown for over 4100 yards ...who put those numbers up in a year where he missed some games with an injury ...

Is taking a backseat to a player who barely threw for just under half of that (2000+) compared to the returning QB?

 

Not to mention ...led his team to two State Championship berths?

Power 5 Recruit vs Proven Winner ... ? Really??

I guess that would matter if both were playing in a "Power 5" college.
