From what I've heard of the coaches there the player that gives the team a chance to win will play.  Larue Co schedule and competition is meager at best compared to LCA's schedule over the past 2 years.  Have seen the Boley kid in person and on film.  All the intangibles are there, but camps and competitions differ from live games. Not a bad problem for those coaches to have with those 2 in their stable.

I understand 100% what you are saying. But I just can't see Boley going to LCA to be 2nd string.  But time will tell how it all plays out.

To be clear ... No problem with a fair competition between the two players. When it was mentioned that Nieves was moving to receiver ... It felt like it was a done deal. I like to throw shade at the LCA posters ...but Nieves has impressed me ... He has been through a lot ...  he has stood in the fire against a tremendously difficult schedule and performed well.

I am sure the players there will handle things correctly .... As a teenager I would have struggled to stay positive when "our guy" was moved out for a different player who transferred in. I hope it works out for Nieves ... He seems to be a tough and talented player.

Good move for Boley. That will get him to a higher level of competition. His size at 6'5" will get him looks. If you look at his numbers last year, he was mediocre. Completed 50.3% of his passes for 1,391 yards, 11 TD's and 7 INT's. Those numbers don't get him to the top 50 in the state, not even top 10 in 3A. I have seen him on film and in my humble opinion he needs a lot of work on technique. He is young and still needs to grow into his body athletically. But we know recruiters look at size a lot. Go to work young man. Take the coaching and competition you will get at LCA and put it into practice. Only a sophomore last year so there is time to make it happen, even if he isn't the starter this year. Just go to work, give it your absolute best effort every day and don't get frustrated when there are setbacks or what you want doesn't happen fast enough. We are all on God's time, not ours.

Scrimmages added against Bryan Station and South Oldham. They only voluntarily play one school their size or smaller, and it's the defending 1A champions and probable preseason #1 in that class.
