Both these teams have a lot coming back. Both will battle for the district and could also see both playing for the region title and a trip to Rupp Arena.

I have not seen Lincoln County yet, have watched Boyle County twice.  If Boyle can compete for the regional title I will be shocked.

I think so. Boyle returned quite a bit off their regional championship team from last season while Lincoln returned a couple of key pieces and then added the transfer from Southwestern. I'd probably put Pulaski County in the third spot. Beyond that it might be a crap shoot. Several teams capable of beating each other on any given night.

I’m not sure if Jagger Gillis is back for Boyle on the court. Would be a great addition to the team.

Looking at the stats for Boyle County, they only have four kids who have played every game. Once their football players are fully back and acclimated they'll once again be a very tough out.

If Luke Imfeld wasn’t playing then what you watched was pointless.  

Lincoln or Pulaski. Pulaski is very underrated statewide.

Imfeld didn't play against Spencer County or Somerset. Scored one point in his first outing against Lexington Catholic, 24 against South Oldham, 18 against Southwestern.

You can't realistically judge a Boyle County team until after Christmas because they always have key players join late from football. They'll be right there in the hunt when the postseason comes around.

Not on the stats. I agree he’s important. I’m curious if some of these 5th year football players might get a jump start on college football and head off after school ends this week.

Boyle didn't have their football players - including 12th Region POY candidate Luke Imfeld - until Saturday 12/11.   If you saw before then, you didn't see Boyle.

And Jagger Gillis was playing on 12/11....   On Saturday, Boyle had a dogfight against an upper-middle-of-the-pack 8th Region team in South Oldham, but Imfeld is a player, the football players have just started playing, and Gillis will make a major impact.

Without having seen Lincoln, I would guess that Boyle will definitely be a contender once the football players / Gillis get up to speed.   Boyle County in January won't look like Boyle County in December.

Gillis played against South Oldham? He's not showing on their stat sheet on the KHSAA site. @Rebelstatcan you confirm or deny this?
