Max DeGraff had another good night.

His 47 yarder last week was close to LexCath record but Benton Hupman still owns that at 51 yards.

He how has FG in all 3 games.  The LexCath record for consecutive games with FG is 6.  If you count across season DeGraff is at 4 now since he had FG in final game of 2020 season.

You got to love these comments. Lol, CCH played Elder and Lex Cath. Again, Elder at the PIT!  They had a 2 touchdown lead  on an undefeated team while decent  in the first half. Oh, and loosing there

  • If they played again next week I would take CovCath.

I seen other schools do it before.

I've seen other schools (and my own) get away with no-calls on facemasks, encroachment, and illegal participation as well. Doesn't mean it shouldn't have been called.

And yes, I realize that officials don't catch everything. I was just pointing out....that was a bad sequence for the officials in Park Hills that could have made for somewhat of a momentum swing for Cov Cath.

Cov Cath might go 1-5 in first 6 games. I was thinking this at beginning of season when I saw schedule. Now it might really happen.

As clarified above by @Bluegrasscard, the players are permitted from the 10 to 10. Coaches are still restricted from going outside of the box formed by the 25 and the 25.

And to my greater point....that "incomplete pass" where the the receiver caught the ball, turned, and ran for another 5 or 6 yards before he bobbled it and dropped it...

In KY coaches are allowed from the 10 to 10 too. It was allowed last year too.

Negatives would be we just really struggle to throw the football. It’s going to be tough to win games against good teams when you’re one dimensional on offense. We’ve got 2 good teams coming up the next 2 weeks, so there’s not a ton of time to figure it out.

The other negative was being gassed and not tackling in the last 6 minutes of the game on defense. I thought we played well up until that point but you do all that conditioning work for a reason. Not to be cliche, but you need to play a full 4 quarters to beat good teams. LC just gashed us that last half of the 4th and that was with their best player (#8) out.

Cov Cath has been spoiled when it comes to QBs.

On the pass, I believe the ball never got secured while trying to move to the outside arm.  But admit to a bias on the read.

That onsides kick was biggest event.  I do not see how you do not look for an on-sides in that situation.

Absolutely agree with you there. That was 100% being caught with our pants down.

Did you watch the game? Not sure what would lead anyone to think that. CCH has things to improve on no doubt…. But this is just silly.

I agree, CCH looked pretty good tonight but they got caught napping late and paid for it.

I guarantee CCH will beat Dixie this week.

I felt like they had a lot they can improve upon, some coaching decisions/play calling, tackling in last quarter, multiple turnovers, and were still beating a good lex catch team by 14 with 8min to play. Doesn’t feel good to lose ever, but that doesn’t mean the sky is falling either.
