Colonels_Wear_Blue 10,086 Posted April 6 Coach Smith was (unconventionally) announced as the new head coach at Evangel back in early November 2020 when the school announced they would be starting their football program back up after folding the team following the 2008 season. Coach Smith was named head coach at Western last March after having been an assistant coach at Senca. He is a Seneca alum, and played college ball at UCF, North Texas and WKU. The timing for the announcement was slightly peculiar given the fact that Western's football season had not yet ended. For undisclosed reasons, the school announced on January 7th that they were accepting applications for their boys head football coach from the school athletic department's Twitter account, but it looks like whatever issues had arisen have been cleared up.  Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
