just reported on ESPN, Anthony gets 15 game suspension and each team fined a 1/2 million for their participation. :eek: :eek:

They should have suspended him 15 more for running away like a pansy.

Nice cheap shot much like a coward would swing. Maybe they should take a page from the NFL and their spitting fines. Each time it happens the penalty doubles. Eventually they will get it and learn from others mistakes!

I think Karl shoulders some of the blame for this.

As David Stern pointed out, it was not for the punch but for escalating and re-inciting the situation. It had died down and there was no reason for him to take the shot except to take the shot and restart everything.

Melo is allowed to appeal his suspension and could very well get it reduced, much like Jermaine O'Neal did after the "Malice in the Palace."

Whoever said 15 games isnt much in an NBA season, especially for the Nuggets losing their leading scorer, has lost it. That is probably right about a month of the season, maybe a little more.

Exactly. Robinson and Smith had been pulled apart, and it is obvious that things were dying down because Melo was kind of on his way to the sidelines. Then he sees Collins and decides to give him a womanly smack to the face and run away. Also, whoever was saying it earlier, where have you seen Collins talking junk to Melo at this point? I've seen the video so many times my eyes hurt, and there is no clear depiction of Collins talking to Melo when he hits him. I just wish Jeffries or Collins had gotten hold of him after that.
