December 18, 200619 yr just reported on ESPN, Anthony gets 15 game suspension and each team fined a 1/2 million for their participation.
December 18, 200619 yr Good....do the Knicks and Nuggets play again, because I'm guessing that won't resolve the issue.
December 18, 200619 yr Author Nate Robinson 10 J.R. Smith 10 Mardy Collins 6 Jeffries 4 Jerome James 1 No article to link as of yet, but cover on espn.com
December 18, 200619 yr Nene is suspended 1 game as well. No suspension for Isiah Thomas though, which in my opinion, is a shame!!! Players follow the orders of their coach and if not for him telling his players to foul the next Nugget that went to the goal! Disgrace!!!

Hard fouls that send a message are part of the game. My cousin got checked in a pick-up game and I paid the guy back. He didn't attack me.
December 18, 200619 yr I think it was a pretty good reason Stern gave on the conference call on ESPN for Melo getting such a big suspension. He basically said that there was a break in the fighting and there was a chance for it stop and then he escalated things again by hitting Collins. I thought Melo's suspension was about right, but I did not expect such heavy suspensions for the others, outside of James and Nene because there suspensions were for leaving the bench. Collins is probably the most deserving, since he started the whole thing, but I figured he'd get 4. Robinson and Smith were big parts b/c they went at each other, but I looked for more like 6 or 7 games. I really feel like Jared Jeffries suspension was a little heavy. I cant really say I felt he did much wrong but defending his teammate. I thought he should get 1 or 2 games and he should maybe appeal his suspension to try to bring it down.
December 18, 200619 yr Nate Robinson was the reason the entire fight occurred in the first place. I'm shocked that Thomas didn't get any suspension. It was fairly obvious that he ordered the hit and was trying to start something.

December 18, 200619 yr He has to coach the Knicks, that's punishment enough!  Isaiah Thomas is an absolute joke in the NBA as anything, but a player.
December 18, 200619 yr Anthony should be suspended for more than 15 games. None of my friends would have slapped a guy and run. I thought it was pretty chicken.

December 18, 200619 yr Little unclear on your post. Are you wanting a larger suspension because he ran after hitting someone or because he simply hit someone?? I think that if things are bad enough to swing at someone don't run afterwards. If he and I were on the same team and we were defending our teammates I wouldn't run. I thought it was pretty cowardly to run. He need to visit OZ during his time off and see if the Wizard can help him with his courage.
December 18, 200619 yr Author I'd guess that was his first scrap. Manut Bol wouldn't have run away. He'd have stayed in there and flicked the jab. I wonder if Lebron laughed when he saw the "retreat" on ESPN? Can you imagine Barkley, or Charles Oakley running after a punch?
