December 17, 200619 yr I haven't lost any respect for Melo after this or any player in the Nuggets organization. From reports on ESPN, Isiah Thomas apparently ordered the flagrant foul on JR Smith. With 2 minutes to go in the game Isiah told Melo that it wouldn't be a "good idea" to go to the paint. He was mad because with 2 minutes to go the Nuggets had their starting 5 on the floor and were up 19 points!!! If this turns out to be true, Isiah should be sent packing!!! No coach should ever call for a play like that because of what can happen as you saw with that fight!!! Either way, it still isn't acceptable behavior!! I just noticed that no one had mentioned Isiah's role!!!

Whoever he hit was sitting there jawing to him and under those circumstances, where punches have already been thrown, you better be ready to defend yourself. Also, I don't buy the "their starters shouldn't be in and they shouldn't be dunking" B.S. It's the NBA, not a 5th grade recreational league. That's just a weak excuse for having a pitiful team and handling it the wrong way.
