I was reading these comments thinking that everyone on here was crazy. Good post my man. For some reason in baseball it's "part of the game" yet in basketball it's a criminal thug act.

My opinion, they should handle it if you leave the sideline, bench area, dugout, automatic 3 game suspension for players.

I don't have a problem with suspending players who fights, it's the "thug" talk that is not associated with other sports and is associated with basketball.

I would say that goes along with the rapper entourages and dress and the way they talk and carry themselves that doesn't happen as much in baseball. Even in football, it seems they carry and talk differently than in the NBA.

Lets face it, the reason that the NBA is viewed as a thug sport by so many people is that the NBA has the highest percentage of black people in their sport. Stereotypes will not just fade away.

^^ BINGO. When Bird punched Laimbeer for a similar (probably less blatant) foul, I doubt the "thug" talk would be being tossed around.
