I was looking at St.X schedule and had 1st game 1/5. Last time I looked at it had December games.

Nothing can start before January 4. I'm assuming St. X was just slow deleting their scheduled games for December. The schools are responsible for making those changes - the KHSAA doesn't do any type of blanket deleting of games.

Yeah, probably slow. I’m aware about schools doing it.

I'd say some schools may have waited to delete December games until they had a specific date to reschedule later in the season. Probably a lot of different reasons.

I’m seeing some chatter on social media about KHSAA sending out email about possibly having state tournament mid April and season starting late January. Anyone seen this supposed email?

Alleged info from KABC.

Love the idea of no district tournament.  Wish they would mandate playing everyone in the region and then seed. Sure would make scheduling easier.

I agree to an extent. I would miss seeing first round district games between #2 and #3 seeds. Those atmospheres are fun.

I get your point.  I think if you give the top 4 teams in the region first round byes, you would have some terrific first round games.

I also believe that this format would be better suited for the entire region:

For example:  It drives me crazy how coaches vote for an all region team when they probably haven't seen every kid in the region.  This would enable every coach to see every player.

How? You don't think a coach would be at practice rather than watching to see who their All-Region team selections are going to be?
