I would say yes and it will happen. Teams are out of rhythm and it's getting colder and some team or teams are going to get upset.

I agree. I believe we will see quite a few upsets before the 3rd round. Things are setting up for some wild games in rounds 1 and 2 I believe. 

I am more concerned about injuries but sure.

Teams are still practicing and by this time of the year things have been dialed way back. With anywhere between a week to three weeks off teams have gotten the chance to get healthy. 
 

Injuries would of been more of an issue for teams that didn’t get full weeks of practice before games for varying reasons.

If you haven't played for awhile and you have dialed way back that is a long time on the shelf.

The layoff didn't bother DeSales. All teams have the week off so no advantage for anyone except teams that had injured players who needed the week off to get healthy.

I'd say you might see some 3-seeds upset 2's, but I can't imagine many 4-seeds beating 1-seeds. The only exception might be Class 5A-District 7 where it should be Collins vs. Madison Southern.

I don’t think you will see any big upsets but you will see a few in the second round and regional finals but that pretty much happens every year anyway.

What kind of upsets are we talking about? 

I don't believe extra time off is going to cause any "big" upsets. Better teams win regardless of the circumstances.

I'm talking about one of the favorites.

Better teams win most of the time but with a layoff things can change, plus some night, some real colder weather could play havoc.
