The Bruins will make the short drive to Marshall Stadium on Friday to take on Trinity. The Rocks continue to roll after a 38 point drubbing of arch rival St. Xavier last week, and Ballard returns to action after a bye. Will the extra week of preparation be enough for Ballard to test Trinity?

Wow, you really think so, I am thinking running clock. 

Trinity beat Ballard 42-12 in playoffs last year and Trinity defense better this year than last year so I don’t see this being close.

Ballard lost to Frederick Douglass by four touchdowns. I’m not seeing them giving Trinity a better game than they gave FD. I sense some sandbagging here.

I still remember the game like scrimmage where Trinity beat Frederick Douglass 45-8 last year.

Trinity wins but on Sat morning the Rocks will know they’ve been in a game. Ballard is very physical.

No sandbagging. Ballard kids will be sky high to play Trinity. And they are not a bad team. Will be a good test for Trinity.

Everybody is sky high to play Trinity, what makes Ballard different?

Gotta discount the score on the Frederick Douglas vs Ballard game a little.  That was scheduled  just a day or two before the game as a replacement.  Neither team had much time to prepare or game plan.  FD has a lot of division 1 players and seemed to be Jimmy’s and Joe’s had more of an impact than X’s and O’s with no prep time or film study.  
that was also the curfew week with tons of distraction in Louisville, JCPS schools barely got to practice at all that week.
 

Is the big kid who originally was at Holy Cross still at Ballard?
