Is courtesy for others a factor at all, whether it be social distancing or masks or other rules?

 

If masks and social distancing help get us to football in the fall, why not give it a try? We have aready seen what no masks, no social distancing and the old rules get us - a shutdown and 88,000+ dead.

It's not about which version of him is real and which isn't. It's about looking at constantly updated information and revising as you learn things. That used to be called "maturing" and we embraced it.

 

He changed his recommendations as new information came out regarding just how long someone could carry this virus while exhibiting no symptoms. A thing we now know to be true, which is that someone could carry it for weeks and have no idea, wasn't universally understood back in March.

I am not buying that line of thinking. Tony is supposed to be one of the world's experts and all the things we learn about this virus (in general terms) is true of many viruses which means nothing has changed or needs to be updated when it comes to the effectiveness and/or risks of masks.

That's not true. Everyone trusts some people and some information. It is impossible to function if you don't.

My world is based first and foremost on irrefutable facts. I apply common sense knowledge to the facts. I do my best to minimize partisan opinions because they almost always ignore key facts and common sense from their opinions. That is the core of how my world view works.

I find the mask talk comical by some. Some on here are so dead set on it and worried. If your worried about this then you shouldn't be out in it.

 

Some on here preach about this mask, yet some of you very same people are eating take out from restaurants, delivery pizza, drive through. People let me clue you in on something, those people who are preparing your food aren't wearing masks. I know you've had to of seen it. I've been out there, I've seen it everywhere.

 

So, it's not okay for me to not wear a mask. Yet, some of you will get your food from non mask wearing food services. Your food has exhaled breath all over it. Just wanted to make some of you all aware of that fact.

Maybe you’re right; a false sense of security that will get us out making and spending the almighty dollar instead of worrying about the health of millions who are susceptible to death from this virus.

That is an extremely silly thing to say.

 

Just because someone is stubborn and self-centered doesn't mean they can fight.

 

I don't necessarily disagree with Guru's statement. But outside of that is why would the people wearing masks want to confront and potentially get in a hands on altercation with someone not wearing one? That seems counterproductive to me as well as a good way to get exposed to said virus. Why not just distance yourself from whomever isn't wearing the mask?

 

Seems like a much better idea to me than confronting them and telling them they have to wear one. I can't see anything good coming from confronting or fighting with someone just because they're not wearing a mask. If the mask wearer is that concerned about it then stay away from them or just stay home. You can literally order anything you would ever need to survive these days so they're essentially picking a fight, with someone they likely don't want to fight with.
