February 15, 20206 yr Vince got his raise and is staying at UK! As much as anything this shows how the football culture at UK has changed during the Stoops era. Years ago the higher ups that decide where money gets spent would have said the money going to Vince's raise would be better spent on fuel for Cal's recruiting jet. Its nice to see them acknowledge how important Vince is and do what they needed to to keep him at UK. After how this turned out I really feel like Vince is there for the long haul unless a HC opportunity comes along and he chooses to pursue something new.

I feel like he's better suited as an assistant as well. I'm not even sure he would take a HC job at this point in his career as I don't see him ever getting an offer that would make more sense to take than being a high paid assistant in the SEC.

February 17, 20206 yr Vince Marrow stayed at Kentucky for 900,000 per his contract which you can read at KSR. The contract was Actually signed on the 13th of February before he announced it to the public that he was staying on the 14th.

If someone offers you double the pay to do the same job you are already doing, the majority of people in any job do it. Usually the only time someone doesn’t do it, is if they know they have a good shot at something even better by waiting a little longer.

He thought he was staying at Colorado, Sparty came in around 4.5, went to 5 mill for 5 years, then he said he wanted 5.5 for 6 years, probably thinking they wouldn't do it, and they did. I agree, any rational human being would take that. Coaches get fired all the time, dude went from 14.5 million to 33 million overnight!
