He thought he was staying at Colorado, Sparty came in around 4.5, went to 5 mill for 5 years, then he said he wanted 5.5 for 6 years, probably thinking they wouldn't do it, and they did. I agree, any rational human being would take that. Coaches get fired all the time, dude went from 14.5 million to 33 million overnight!

 

And, no offense to Colorado, I think MSU in the Big Ten is regarded as a higher profile job. Wish him well. Should be interesting.

According to the Detroit News' Tony Paul, Dantonio testified at a January deposition that Blackwell didn't travel along with him to visit recruits at their homes, noting it would've been an NCAA violation.

Photo today shows Blackwell on a recruiting visit. As I said before Dantonio didn’t retire, he left before the storm came. That might be the least of what Dantonio was doing to get recruits though.
