February 6, 20206 yr Berea College has canceled its entire 2020 season and will not field a baseball team.
February 6, 20206 yr No clue. Just know it's canceled supposedly for disciplinary reasons. So even the little guys have problems.
February 7, 20206 yr Was just reading through posts on FB for this. It sounds like their decision is based solely on rumors. There are no criminal charges. There is no pending investigation. Alumni are mentioning that the school has never cared for the baseball program, and they just found an easy out.
February 7, 20206 yr In a somewhat bizarre turn of events, Berea cancels the entire baseball season just before the opening game. No reason given. Something’s going on here.
February 14, 20206 yr Anything new to add here? I've heard nothing for true reasoning of cancelling the season, but I have heard lawyers may be getting involved. Sounds like it's getting ugly.
February 29, 20206 yr If this happens do players have the ability to transfer with no penalty? Obviously as late as it happened and the type of school Berea is, I would think nobody really is going to get that opportunity.
