The officiating was horrible tonight, especially during one 5 minute stretch in the middle of the 2nd half. Jasper and Bradley both had good games, and Morris continues to dominate. They seemed to stop playing as hard toward the end when UTC cut the lead to 9, but a win is a win, so I am happy. Now lets go beat the Hoosiers Saturday in Rupp....

For the most part the Cats looked a lot better tonight. Still far too Many turnovers. I loved Tubby's intensity tonight. I think that directly spread to his players. Bradley and Morris were excellent tonight along with Jasper imo. Jasper imo did an excellent job running the point. He (along with others) has to shoot free throws better. Jasper had 6 asst. / 4 to's / 10reb.. Bradley goes for 23pt.s / 5asst. / 6reb.. Morris gets 17 pts. / 7reb.. B. Perry adds 17pts.. U.K. shoots 53% from the field / 50% on 3pt. shots / 46% FT's. (free throes and turnovers have to improve) Overall I think that the Cats looked pretty good, they blew out to a 28pt. lead with about 11 min. left and then kind of went into a "lull" which cannot happen but Tubby was trying different combinations. Imo our defense was very good. Time now to get back to work and get ready for I.U. coming into Rupp on Saturday. Good Win, :ylsuper: GO BIG BLUE :flame: :flame:

I know that was one of the worst calls I have seen. Officials had an impact on the game, basically let the Mocs back in the game with those calls, but the Cats won so I am happy.

I think alot of things were improved in this game, but against a good team - that stretch late in the game might have led to a loss. It reminded me of the second half against Memphis. The starters all lost their legs and Tubby was afraid to go to the bench. Much better intensity and alot of positives. Still too many turnovers.

Jasper slightly at times but overall I think he did a great job. He didn't score many points but he had 8 rebounds and at least 5 assists. Every other started scored in double figures. I think its quite obviously where Bradley should be playing.

Imo Jasper did a very good job running the point. A few to's that has to be corrected but overall very good I thought. He didn't score but he ran the team very well. He has to hit free throws. I agree on Bradley at the #2 and Jasper at the point. Imo Tubby is starting to work different combinations and is finding out what he wants and what will work. This U.K. team will be fine. They are only going to get better. We do NEED the one Saturday vs. the Hoosiers.

I think Wireman will agree, the most positive thing from this showing is that SHEray was out of the lineup and played very little.

Jasper

Bradley

Crawford

Perry

Morris

That should be the lineup.

Thomas still looked just awful tonight. He always looks like he's a step too slow and a little lazy or something. He just can't keep up the the speed of the D1 level.

I was very happy with everything except the turnovers and a few forced shots (Crawford). I wish Carter would have had a little better showing.
