If any of you have an interesting topic for this forum or the football forum now is the time to post it.

=============

I will start with something easy, I love the weather for this time of year @nWo

AP poll will be out today. Will be interesting if it is jacked up like the AP football poll is, especially compared to bluegrass preps polls.

I think so much is piled on the shoulders of many of the AP voters that they struggle with the responsibility.

No hoops cancelled by weather yet, to the best of my knowledge. Is it district tourney time that the weather oftentimes wreaks havoc on games with cancellations/postponements? ...kind of the way heat and thunderstorms seem to kill one week of games statewide in the early portion of the football schedule most years.

Knock on wood it looks as if we may escape with a very mild winter.

Of course when it comes to high school sports we love it when Mother Nature cooperates.

I plan on posting a long range outlook later today. The week of the 20th is looking.....

Anyone?

I had a startling revelation that I probably will not have a relaxing weekend to rest and nap for the forseeable future.

Our second child is due at the start of March to go along with our wild 1.5 year old.

My children are 18 months apart. One was easy, two might as well have been ten. The storm is coming ATL!

On a comical side note, our son is super adorable right now and is OBSESSED with basketball.

He has been "shooting" since before he was 1 on at first a basketball pool float and then this little tiny goal he got for his one year birthday. For Christmas we got him a Little Tikes goal that he is non-stop playing on that should grow with him for a little while.

"Shot Block" he swats the ball out of your hand and does the Dkembe Mutombo "Uh uh uh" finger wag and sounds.

"Fast Break" he takes off sprinting and slam dunks from wherever he is downstairs.

Anytime basketball is on tv he points it out and says "ball, ball". When someone makes a shot he either claps or says "Sissssh" (his attempt at swish). If they miss he says "Ehh or Ohhh". A team was on a fast break and he said "go go go" the other night and I cracked up. If I tell him they made a 3, he goes "treeee" and makes a L with his fingers trying to do the 3-point symbol I showed him.

He likes football but is obsessed with basketball.

Mine are, 22 (only girl) 12, 10 (21 months apart), and 5. I'm not 40 yet, and will likely find out I'm gonna be a grandpa before I do.

My first 2 are 20 months apart. And looking back, I'm not sure how my wife survived, because I was completely overwhelmed to the point of uselessness. The good news was when we had number 3 a little over 2 1/2 years later, it wasn't nearly as bad as the jump from 1 to 2.

I wouldn't want to wish away time, but I eagerly anticipate the end of January every year. I always get hit with a post holiday funk this time of year that lingers for a while. This grey, bleak, rainy January weather doesn't help.

I'm sure I'm not the only one.

I hate winter rain. This lack of snow that we’ve had over the last 10 years or so depresses me. While I hate driving in it, not having any snow just doesn’t feel right. There’s something that’s really peaceful about an accumulating snow. I need some cold and some snow keep my system right.

I agree. If it’s going to be cold, then it might as well snow.
