It's hard to use the RPI this early. This time of year there are a lot of games with out of state teams. Even with a win you generally take a hit in the RPI with those games.

You would think that after what happened last year, undefeated until first round of Sweet 16, John Hardin would schedule a little tougher this year. Guess not.

Webster County in Region 2 has not lost to a KY team.

Boyle County just beat Butler County this afternoon 68 to 53. The Rebels led the entire game. Their press just took Butler out of anything they tried on offense.

You would think that after what happened last year, undefeated until first round of Sweet 16, John Hardin would schedule a little tougher this year. Guess not.

 

They squeaked by decent - not world-beating, but decent - competition several times last season.

And in defense of what happened in the first round of the Sweet 16, they lost by a point to an excellent Campbell County team that was knocked out by a bucket in the third round by state champion Trinity.

I’m not saying they didn’t beat some “decent” teams. Or lose to a good one. But I’d say they were pretty far from battle tested when it mattered most. Would you agree?
