I think it will be a battle. Whoever wins will get Conner again in the first round of playoffs, if I’m not mistaken. Both teams want a rematch.

Don't think we have to worry about that. This will be a blowout for CCH IMO. If Conner can't pass and its muddy, I'm thinking 28/35-0 CCH. Conner REALLY needs Hicks to move around and make plays passing it. If that goes away they have almost a 0% of winning.

I meant to circle the wagon on that one and come back to this thread. The Birds will have a tough game for sure on the road but I think the possibility of rain actually helps the Birds not hurts them. HHS will have a fairly large edge in the defense category and about 50/50 in the offensive category IMO. I know Cooper's D has been good this year but the Birds D is on a different level.

 

On O, Cooper seems to be not sure who will play QB/RB at times and the loss of 2 starting WR's(quiting) doesn't help. Everyone knows if you can stop Lee you stop them from scoring in bunches. Meanwhile the Birds have there own set of issues on O. They can't seem to find the right combination of blocking up front still, which is causing a domino effect on every other position IMO. It's hurting the run, the time for Colin to pass(and not throw INT's) and the WR's getting open. This isn't all on the line either, the coaches have to do a better job of making adjustments and opening the playbook. You are at the end of your regular season, it's time to get a few pages deeper in the ole playbook.

Should probably post this in the Conner/CovCath thread, not Highlands/Cooper.

I think the Bluebirds will win this game by 3 or 4 TD's!

I think HHS wins this one going away. I do not think it will be close.

Interesting that so many think this will be a blowout for HHS. Judging by the way both teams played Conner, my opinion is this will be closer than many think. Cooper flat out beat themselves vs. Conner in their meeting with no less than 5 critical turnovers if I'm not mistaken, mostly fumbles, and it still came down to a one score game with Cooper having the ball at the end before turning it over on downs.

 

HHS is heavily favored as they should be but I have gut feeling this will not be a runaway game for the Birds by 3 or 4 TDs as some are predicting. Look past the Jags if you want to but I will not be surprised by an upset.

. HHS/Conner game the birds did not play well period! Last week I think they played well. I have to credit CCH defense on that one. Buten is back and the blue boys were disciplined. I think the birds bring it this week. There defense makes the difference on all levels. Here is to hoping the offense continues with corrections and steps up! I know Cooper is always well coached, minus a few playmakers but each don’t want the blue boys in round one. I assure you both teams want another shot at Conner.

I know the Birds are pretty banged up at a few positions. Are the Jags healthy?
