Sunset dinner with @swamprat, @Run To State and their lovely brides.

A regular BGP meetup at the Brass Monkey. It was good seeing you and your lovely wife again. We had a great time on an absolutely beautiful evening. Thank you for inviting us down.

Yesterday was a day on “The Wild Atlantic”; Cliffs of Moher, lunch at a pub called McGanns where I had the best seafood chowder in my 64 years and counting (I was thinking of @RandyParker at the time). The tour also took us to “The Little Cliffs” and Galway Bay. The driver even noted our 41st anniversary (technically today). Late dinner back in Dublin at a fantastic venue called “The Church”. A full day.

Today was a foray into Northern Ireland for a tour of Belleek Pottery and lunch at their cafe. Guinness Storehouse tour in a bit, with dinner at the Storehouse restaurant.

So far it has been everything we could have hoped for.

Thinking of @RandyParker once again this evening while scarfing down a pot full of steaming mussels with red and green chilis at the Mussell Inn on Rose Street in downtown Edinburgh - home of “the most pubs per square inch in all of Scotland”.

Have you had any "prawn cocktail crisps" or coronation chicken salad yet?

They’re big on prawns (I call ‘em shrimp) here. So far I’ve only had them with chilis and with chorizo.

Golf at St. Andrews today. 55 and mostly sunny. Hard to beat.

My good news for the last week was getting to watch my Colonels win their 8th football state championship on Saturday, and then getting word this week that two big projects I bid for my company were awarded to us.

Solid!

Getslow said something nice about me in the Christmas music thread.

Only 2 more days of work this week.

:irked:

I'm still sky high from Saturday, I just watched the Mayfield/Somerset game for the third or fourth time. :lol2:

Unlike most Friday's I'm not going to UK to pick up the baby girl today, but we are going up Saturday to take her and her closest buddies to see the lights at the horse park. Date night tonight, going to see Richard Jewell movie.

Life is good!

Well, can’t say I am coming off of a Tiger win..But a cold rainy night, my adult children came over and we grilled steaks and had a wonderful meal.

I figure this is worth bumping.

My piece of good news for this Friday, I got a text from a good buddy that he and his wife have been picked by an expectant mother to adopt her baby boy. SUPER excited for them!

I've noticed this too. Everyone seems extremely friendly. I can't remember ever getting so many smiles and hellos from total strangers and I consider Cincinnati a pretty friendly city.
