Alabama Larry
Mal Moore is NOT a Bama favorite from the Fans viewpoint. Its been real hard on us with all the stuff that has been going on the last eight years or so. I hear a lot about an AD change and Ozzie Newsome is mentioned a lot. Oh wait a second...he is a "Bear Guy". I will be surprised if CBP would leave Louisville and he is not our main focus and I hope he is at Louisville for a long time. 4chs
Who on here (from the Blue side) has said he's a good football coach, especially after the whole Durham shenanigans? I believe that it is pretty obvious that he is a very good football coach.
5wide
I think Petrino is about #4 on their list right now, behind the obvious Saban, Spurrier, and Rodriguez from WVA. I think that they may also be looking at Cal's coach... Saban = NO Spurrier = NO Petrino = NO Tedford = Only if his frustration with Cal drives him away, but I doubt it. Rodriguez = I seriously doubt it. The Alabama job just isn't that attractive to guys that are already in good situations, IMO. Like I said, I think they'll have a hard time getting one of these established, big name guys right now.

02Ram54
he was handed a great team, Rich Brooks could have done what BP has done. I forgot, Stefan LeFors was considered a highly touted prospect coming out of highschool. Bobby Petrino, through play calling, player development, and recruiting (Bush, Brohm, Urrutia, Douglas, Heyman, Whitehead, Stripling, Allen, Wood, Okoye, Council, Thomas, ETC) built this great team. cometscoach
His contract he signed a few months ago was for 10 years, 25 mil.... He certainly will not leave for 5 million but I do think he would like to see what he could do in the big time. i.e. SEC

cometscoach
Who on here is saying that Petrino is not a good football coach? I think he is a great football coach! Hes done an amazing job with UL. I simply have a problem with how he handled Durham from Rockastle above anything else. UL has really gotten themselves a great coach. As for the title of the thread, I think Alabama right now is a much better job than the Raiders. That being said, why leave UL where you can win 9, 10, or 11 games a year, every year? He can beat UConn, Syracuse, Cinncy, and other schools every year. And beat WVA, Rutgers, and Pitt most of the time. Hes got a successful thing going at UL. Great point. I think he is a good coach but I do agree that Brooks with Kentucky's talent would win 8 or 9 games. Had Brooks and Ky been in Rutgers shoes they would have also been undefeated coming into the Louisville game.
Augger
If Petrino turns down Alabama, and he already turned down LSU. Maybe Coach Petrino is afraid that he wont have the same amount of success playing the big boys of the SEC. Much better to play in the Big East. Most of their games are on Thursday's so that they watch real teams play on Saturday.
