One thing I hate to see is a bunch of fence-sitters. I wish you'd tell us how you really feel.

For the record, Aaron Snyder and the Ashland Daily Independent guys are exempt from my criticism as well. They have always done a stand up job and have long been one of my favorite collective group of writers in the State. I will go on record stating that to anyone who will listen.

 

I actually wish Snyder and the ADI guys were regulars on here, they seem like the type that would be great for discussion (or maybe they are and we don't know it). I really like their style and wish more media members were like them.

 

They do an excellent job covering NEKY Sports.

It's truly embarrassing. Not making fun of them, but I have secondary embarrassment for them.

 

In all honesty, they should forgo the AP Rankings and partner with BluegrassPreps and use the BGP Rankings. They would look better and supply their readers with a better product. I think it's time for them to admit they don't have the resources and expertise to rank teams around the entire state. I would venture to say each outlet does a good job of knowing the teams in their service area, but don't have the capability to know all the teams in the state. BGP has people around the entire state that know the teams, the players and are able to objectively rank the teams throughout the state.

 

This is where I am at, I can't even bring myself to make fun of them at this point because it is so embarrassing.

 

And as far as any "media outlets" using our rankings, you and I both know that is not going to happen Ram because all those places consider BGP "an enemy" and come hell or high water they won't do anything to promote BGP.

I can tell you right now, Apollo should not even get a sniff in a poll. We are trying to create a good program here but it is hard for me to see a poll that has us even close. They must have gotten a hold of some Eagle Cool Aid. Limited edition.

I have to admit, Trinity is listed first and after that, I stopped reading.

Some pretty good teams not in these top 10's in their rightful spots looked like they could play a little football this weekend.

 

Maybe they'll break through in the next edition?

The Ashland Daily Independent does a fantastic job covering EKY teams. JC gets better coverage there than in the hometown Paintsville paper. Thanks to Aaron and the gang for that.
