Fair? Time Ran out man.

You're kidding right?

Winning a championship doesn't get you "Mr. Football" (or for that matter even playing most of your HS career in KY)...think back to last year's finalists and the ultimate winner.

It also shouldn't be given to a player who plays multiple positions because the team doesn't have a player to fill those shoes or chooses not to allow someone to fill those shoes. It should be given to the player that shows they have contributed the most for the teams wins. Strength of schedule should also play a factor. You can look like a star if you don't have any competition.

Fair? Time Ran out man.

So what then? Don't play with a clock?

Beaumont is a complete player and deserves Mr. Football. Period. Petrino may not be the all-around athlete that Minnifield is, but you would be hard pressed to say he is not a better football player. Anderson did not show up for a couple of games when all eyes were on him. I cannot speak to some of the other candidates out in the state. At any rate, may the best young man win.

Give us two more downs from the one. Hello. Time Ran out. We lost, but don't say Douglas would trade a "Mr. Football" in order to move on in the playdowns. Thats not "fair".

When is enough, enough? Your clock guy gave you one extra down. I didn't say that Doug would make that choice. It just might work out that way. I'd say that is fair.

Beaumont wins hands down......He can pretty much do it all on the football field. I also think he brews hot chocolate at half time....

If people are going to mention all of these other players for Mr. Football. I think that Jordan Kramer from HHS needs to be mentioned as well...:ylsuper: :ylsuper:

IMO, I would take Kramer over Tandy, Ammons and Revere. But again just my opinion. Kramer was a tough cookie and he did it against the very best schedule in the state - bar none.

Raider, Douglas also sells programs and cleans up the stands after the game. And is real involved with his school FCA and speaks at churches.

I love Jordan Kramer, but I'm not sure he'd be above Ben Revere on my ballot.

No knock on Nick Petrino, but should he really finish ahead of Anderson, Ammons, Minnifield and Revere? I understand fully that he is a HUGE part of the (probably) best team in the state, but those young men seem to be much better all-around football players.

I agree with TheDeuce however, Beaumont wins the award.

Nick's overall stats are pretty darned good, and without him we are likely not in this position right now.
