  1. Luke is playing on the Kentucky Colonels team that is coached by Walt Terrell. Their home field is at St. Henry.
  2. I guess not knowing the formula for choosing I won't complain. It seem to be a great bunch of kids that were chosen. Congratulations to everyone that was picked. And to the ones that weren't, it doesn't mean you could not have been. Keep you heads up and continue playing strong. I think there are a lot of good ball players in the 9th region right now.
  3. What happened to Shane Popham at third? Now that is a shame!
  4. Any news yet?
  5. OG, I heard the draw is going to be Saturday. This coming from a parent of a CCH player.
  6. I would say he is probably a little rusty by now.
  7. Where was the ball hit out of on this one; left, center, right?
  8. Baseballguy, how many of these are at home? If not all at home, what other fields has he hit them out of.
  9. Dan Koester started and struggled through the first inning giving up 2 runs. The pitches weren't horrible, just about 1/2 an inch below the knee. Along with some bad calls gives you a long first inning. Koester came back in the 2nd inning and I think walked the first 2 batters. Matt Curtin came in the 2nd inning and pitched the next 3. Matt hasn't pitched in over a month due to an arm injury and rehab. He started the 6th inning and was tiring coach when called up Alex Smith to finish the 6th inning.
  10. I agree with you; however, the other part of it is this was the last game they could have played on their home field. Would have been a "senior" night if Krumpelbeck ever allowed any team to have one. That is probably going to be the hardest part to swallow. My question is, since the prank was on Monday this week, why did coach wait until today to have them sit? They could have sat on Tuesday which was the game against New Cath. Oh well, I guess coach would only know the answer to that.
  11. The JV tournament game was going on at CCH.
  12. My question is, did you talk to a sophomore or a senior for this evaluation. Don't take it the wrong way, I am just curious. I know my opinion from having watched both kids over the past 2 years. Speed is not everything, mind you, it doesn't hurt; however, you have to be able to throw more than a fast ball....ask the Reds, nothing but a fast ball can hurt you more than help.
  13. Yes, that is why they are not playing in the tournament this weekend. I believe they are allowed 4 more games before district play begins.
  14. I agree with you on this. You need someone who can determine a ball from strike. On base is on base no matter how you get there.
  15. This would be my question as well. A little more information would help the decision on this one.
