Brewers at Reds (7/1-7/4)

Recommended Posts

A little shoulder stiffness but here goes.

Tyler Mahle (2-8 4.35) faces Adrian Houser (2-2 2.94) in the opening game.

Tanner Roark (5-6 3.36) takes the mound Tuesday against Chase Anderson (4-2 4.42).

Sonny Gray (4-5 3.94) goes after Jhoulys Chacin (3-8 5.6) on Wednesday.

Luis Castillo (7-3 2.47) closes out the series on Thursday against Brandon Woodruff (10- 3.79) in a game of Ace vs Ace.

Reds currently trail the Cubs and Brewers by 5.5 games each and need to keep up the pressure on both. Reds are 21-18 at home and the Brewcrew is 18-21 on the road.

Over the past week, the Brewers pitchers held a 2.67 era but the team was just 3-3.

Suarez with another bomb. He’s finally getting it back together.

Makes it hurt even more now that David Bell absolutely just let Hernandez absolutely eat that inning and didn’t even warm anyone else up, let alone bring them in.

Then he turns around and sends Bob out there to take a beating.

I’ll take his inning over Hernandez’s any day. Honestly wasn’t awful as whole, but zero chance you can EVER throw an 0-2 pitch that is hittable to Yelich, especially that situation.

Puig with hustle scoring from first on a bloop hit to right that the Brewers half-ended getting back in.

Catcher had to go have way up the third base line to retrieve lackadaisical throw in from right, Puig kept running and scored.
