Reds at Mets (4/29 - 5/2)

It was dumb, 100%, but I wonder if that's Votto's alignment or if that comes in from the dugout as well. They literally change alignment pitch by pitch, so you'd think they would have moved him in. Dumb either way though.

I seriously doubt Votto listens to anything anybody on that bench says.

I'll agree with these statements. He is a very bad baserunner. I remember back to his inability to slide as well.

Yep, got hurt and missed significant time because he screwed up sliding. I was told they try not to put him in a position where he’ll need to slide!!

Really? You can't honestly believe that. It's simply ridiculous. His positioning comes from the bench, period.

#5's win games too.

They do when they pitch against the Reds. They are #5 for a reason.

Reds (12-17) 99 against

Pirates (13-14) 109 against

Cubs (15-12) 122 against

At least provides a little hope.

Reports are saying Senzel will be called up on Friday. What roster move will the Reds make? Send down Ervin? Does Schleber have any options left? Kemp will be back soon too. Will be interesting to see what moves are made.

I believe Schebler has one option left. For the Reds, and honestly his career, it makes the most sense to send him down.

Tonight's Lineup:

Votto (1B)

Suarez (3B)

Winker (CF)

Puig (RF)

Dietrich (LF)

Barnhart ©

Iglesias (SS)

DeSclafani (P)

Peraza (2B)

Reds send Ervin down and call up another relief pitcher.

Reds and Mets no score in the 5th. Disco has done a nice job putting up zeros to match DeGrom.

Oh no, Disco hurt warming up in bottom of the fifth. Seems to be a right hand injury. He is staying in.

Disco mows them down the the fifth, looks good, no injury.

No score going to 7th, Disco out with another great start with nothing to show for it. The pitchers need to get the offense in a closed room and give them a piece of their mind.

Surely our bench coaches aren’t that dumb???

Reds get first two on in the 7th and Schebler grounds into a double play.
