April 2, 20197 yr Do the ushers allow people to move down to the lower level seats after the game starts, when the attendance is that low? I remember games at Riverfront where after the 3rd inning or so, many of them would look the other way. But, every now and then you'd run into the seat Nazi's, who'd protect that open seat as if their lives depended on it. I don't think its too tough to move down and get a good seat. Just wait until they are helping someone else and slide down. There are a handful down there that definitely take their job way too seriously when there are less than 10,000 people there.

With the insane way tickets are priced nowadays, I'd bet that's a specific directive from on high to protect that pricing model. If you can buy a cheap ticket then move down two innings into a meaningless game, then they won't sell the premium tickets anymore.
April 2, 20197 yr “Better” weather tonight but still an empty stadium. Reds sales team has to be praying its school that’s hurting them.
April 3, 20197 yr Why do the Reds still play Schebler?? He is TERRIBLE!!! Just chokes at bat after at bat, time to cut him loose!!
April 3, 20197 yr Reds lose 4-3 in Game 1 of the series. Same result in Game 2. Shebler, Kemp and Winker are hitless. Send down a pitcher and bring up Irvin. He had a good spring and is a natural CF.
April 3, 20197 yr Kemp is going to be terrible and his value is going to be zero. We get nothing out of him cause we should have got rid of him in spring training.

April 3, 20197 yr Well, that didn't take long. So much for the hope and optimism of a new season. Not ready to give up on them yet.
April 3, 20197 yr Not ready to give up on them yet. Good. Neither am I. I guess one good thing so far is the David Bell honeymoon is still going on. I haven't seen anyone going googoo over a line up or batting order that he posted. That probably ends today with a 12:35 game time.
April 3, 20197 yr Should be a beautiful day at the ballpark. I love that my company doesn't care at all about me using my PTO to go work the day games. Sure beats sitting in my office.

That probably ends today with a 12:35 game time. This team is going to hit, I have no doubt about it. The pitching is what I'm looking at. And, if we can hold the team to 4 runs or less, I like our chances. (There's only been a couple of times that I've wished Bell hadn't made a pitching change, but I understand his reasoning.) Will have to see which Mahle shows up today.
