Castillo is pitching today correct?

You're right. I forgot about them talking about the switch. (Which I think is the smart move.)

Well, that didn't take long. So much for the hope and optimism of a new season.

I’m not giving up either, just stating facts, Kemp has nothing left, he was done last year, Reds only got him as a throw away from the Dodgers. That being said fundamentals have been very poor so far this year which is a continuation of the last few years !

Yes and the announcers were just talking about a bunch of Highlands students being at the game and how they were a football power for many years.

Ah yes, the good old days.

:D

This team is going to hit, I have no doubt about it. The pitching is what I'm looking at. And, if we can hold the team to 4 runs or less, I like our chances. (There's only been a couple of times that I've wished Bell hadn't made a pitching change, but I understand his reasoning.) Will have to see which Mahle shows up today.

If they can't light up Peralta today, time to start bashing the hitters

Castillo so far...6 innings, 1 R, 1 H, 8 K's. Reds bats not faring any better. Still down 1-0.

Schebler and Kemp look like they bat with their eyes closed every time they’re up, put them on the road and see who picks them up, I’d be willing to bet NOBODY!!

Reds made 20 straight outs. Is that blaming the hitters?

It does not matter if we hit in June and July. We were out of it by the end of April. It looking like that again this year and we go to Pittsburgh next. No easy wins there.

Four games. We've played four games. If Reds fans are upset at being 1-3, I imagine they're on the verge of rioting in Chicago with the Cubs having the same record.

Bell just did something that Riggleman/Price would never have done...he pinch-ran for Barnhart, after Casali was already out of the game. Now, IF we go extras...Farmer will have to catch. But, I'd much rather take my chances there, because it means we've tied it up.

5 games now, pretty soon it’ll be 20, then 30 and so on, this team looks lost already, same crap we’ve watched the last 3-4 years!

Cubs will finish 15 games better than us.

Not a good effort from me (getting swept at home on this thread). I take full responsibility. Send me back to the minors.
