November 20, 200619 yr The USC/ND game is at USC. If ND wins, they boosts Michigan's SOS and continues to give them a quality win. That would keep them #2 and prevent another team from overtaking them IMO.
November 20, 200619 yr It doesn't matter where Wisconsin finishes, because the BCS only allows two teams per conference to participate in the BCS bowls. I could be wrong about this, but even if the Badgers finished #3 overall, they would have to pack for the Capital One Bowl. True. Only two teams per conference may go to a BCS bowl.

Arkansas, if they lose to LSU and/or Florida would have two losses, as would Texas. Two losses doesn't deserve a title shot in college football. Wisconsin, who knows.

November 20, 200619 yr Disagree completely. Should USC win out, they're in if I'm king. Their entire body of work is more impressive and it should be rewarded. UM had 2 tough games this year separated by about 7 weeks. They were not tested like USC has been tested. If USC loses, the rematch is on. :thumb: That's my take on it. Assuming they win out, I'm looking at who USC has beat, not who they lost to. And when you look at that, it's far more impressive than Michigan.

I would call Florida and U of L very close, but I'd probably expect U of L to win. I haven't been overly impressed with the Gators this year. I would probably give Arkansas a slight edge over both WVU and U of L. In any case, I don't think any matchup of those 4 teams would be a mismatch.
November 20, 200619 yr The top two of the Big East (clearly WVU and UL IMO) could hold their own against any conference except the Big 10, and nobody could against them. It's after those two and the Rutgers story that the Big East begins to fall way off.

Yeah, so here's my thinking... 1) A win over ND is going to boost Southern Cal's percentage regardless of where they drop. 2) An ND loss will hurt Michigan's. How much is the question. And they are so close right now, it's not going to take much. My logic could be wrong though...I'm no BCS expert.

November 20, 200619 yr It's all about the human polls for USC... If that's the case, then this race is over. Michigan's spot in the human polls will not change. Maybe if USC beats ND by about 50 points, but that is not likely.
