There only a handful teams that schedule tough OOC games. I would say USC is about the only team that plays a tough OOC opponent every season (with the exception of a rivalry game for teams like UF/FSU, UK/UL).

Because there is none...The SEC may be down in lacking a team that is slated as unbeatable, but I do recall 3 years ago the last time we did have one, LSU beat an "unbeatable" Oklahoma team...the same LSU who struggled through the SEC vs Georgia, Auburn and losing to Florida got a shot and showed the country the difference in tough conference play and a heavyweight bullying his way around a down conference that year. Other conferences don't understand the SEC because they don't have to endure it. While Ohio State is on the road pounding teams like Northwestern and Indiana into oblivion, Arkansas is battling teams like LSU and Auburn...there's a major difference there.

And 3-9 Mississippi State and 4-8 Ole Miss and 4-8 Vanderbilt. Not to mention a healthy helping of Utah State, Southeast Missouri State, and Louisiana Monroe. Every conference has patsies. And SEC teams regularly go out of their way to avoid tough out of conference opponents, so the tough parity within their conference is balanced by the cupcakes on their nonconference schedule. LSU played eight home games this year (including all four of their out of conference games).

Everyone has a few games versus teams that arent that great. IMO Ole Miss and Vandy would be going to a bowl game if they were in the Pac10. USC has played the toughest schedule, but their conference schedule doesn stack up IMO.
