Poss. game of the year.

Probably not. BG rolls by three TD's +.

Wow, you guys are totally underestimating Central. They are very, very good and as fast as any team you will see in Kentucky.

Ah, DF, typing with your heart again (I know, Warren Central fan, but it worked for my joke). I'll be shocked if the Purples are able to roll up Central so comfortably.

I think this one is within 7 in the 4th Quarter, and while I think BG will pull it out, it will be close.

I think DragonFire is on the money ... BG 52-21.

But, will they be able to stop Bowling Green? Giving up 40 at Southwestern doesn't bode well for that ...

I think it's safe to say Southwest is not as offensivly explosive as BG, so it's pretty tough to see Central holding BG's offense in check. On the flip side, it could be argued that BG's defense is the best in the state and has been for the past two years, again tipping things in favor of BG. As long as the Purples don't implode, and cough the ball up all over (see 05 Title game) I think they'll roll.

BG 49

Central 14

I agree. BG should roll, but that's why they play the game.

Who needs defense in these playoffs!

Central can score with BG. It's just the matter of who gets the key TOs during the game. Plus, the game is at Central and that's a huge plus for the home team Yellowjackets.

EastSideJunkie is right. Playing at Central is always intimidating, but it becomes much more so when you have to travel 2 hours to get there. Historically, Central has had a history of folding up the tent if they fall behind early, but this team seems to be able to maintain their focus. If the two teams were playing at a neutral site or at Bowling Green, I would pick the Purples to win by 12. However, with the game being at Central, I think the Yellowjackets spring a monstrous upset and beat Bowling Green by 4. For your sake, PH my friend, I hope I'm wrong.

I would assume from what I have seen score-wise, that Bowling Green is better offensively and defensively than North Bullitt. That being said, North put up 400 yds offense against Central at the "Hive" in the 1st round in a 28-19 loss. I would think that barring turnovers, the purples win big.

For my friends and my nephews "college godparents" Mr and MrsPh, I hope that BG goes into Louisville and comes home with a win. When we played them in the playoffs (a couple of years) some of their players seemed to be as fast as I had ever seen. They did, at that time, seem to slow down when they got behind. I can't, however, say what they are like this year. Do they have a large following at home? They never seemed to bring a lot when they came to our house.

Purples continue the march to the title. Defense will stop the Jackets cold.

Per your previous posts, North Bullitt must have been all that plus a cup of tea, but somehow Central (also Valley and Doss I believe) miraculously beat the Eagles and their 400 yards of offense for the second time by a 9-point margin in the playoffs. The key element I think you are missing here is that Bowling Green will have to travel two hours to reach the "Hive", while Bullitt Central merely had to coast down the knobs and across the Jefferson County line. The Purples do have a much more talented team than the Eagles, but based on last year's trip to Louisville for the playoffs, they do not travel all that well. Central will give them a good battle, and has a real shot at pulling a monstrous upset.
