Twenhofel had a really talented QB last year. I'm guessing it would be him. Can't remember the name but he had good size and could throw it and run it.

Coach Roy Lucas is certainly a molder of quality QBs. Offensive #s over the last half dozen years shows they can move the ball on anyone with a very diverse attack.

That’s great. But I would imagine if a 6a school has to go with a freshman QB, it will be another average year in Independence, KY. Almost sounds like the football team is following the basketball model at SK if that is the case.

Last name is Crone and I know they are excited to have him. SK has had success with 2-3 year starting QBs and we are potentially seeing 3-4 here.

The best thing to happen to SK is Fredrick Douglas and Scott County moving down to 5A. SK just moved up two spots in the ranking moving forward. This year, they'll be what they have been in the past. Battle with Ryle for top 6A and NKY, but nowhere near the level of Jefferson County football. I expect them to go a little further though because of the lack of depth at 6A after realignment. I expect them to be the 4th or 5th best team in NKY. Should have a great D-Line and a really nice running back. #90 is a MONSTER!!! He was one of the most impressive players I saw all year last year.

Really? I think Beechwood will make a deep run. They have some adjustments to make, but should be good. My guess is that Mayfield and Lexington Christian will be tough. Also, didn’t Beechwood beat 6 A SK last year at SK? I would guess they can compete in 2A.

For us loyal Tiger fans for many, many years we all recognize the threat of Mayfield and remember those battles before they moved to 2A. In fact we celebrated. CAL is an annual beast. We are definately stepping up in competition after losing a premier cadre of seniors last year. Coach Rash and his staff will have the Tigers hitting on all cylinders; but, 2A will not be the same as 1A.

Anybody know how that Tates Creek scrimmage went? I some some highlights on hudl of Hammock running through them like swiss cheese. I also saw some highlights of Duby making good passes on SK. Curious if there was a score kept?
