You forget that literally just a year ago. Bama dominated Clemson where Bama beat Clemson 24 to 6. Which the game wasnt even really that close as Bama held Clemson to under 200 yards. Bama lost some key pieces from that defense, just like Clemson will lose some of their key pieces on defense. The last 2 years both teams have won games against each other in games not so close. Next year both will have the best 2 qbs in college football again and return a lot offensively. I wouldnt be surprised if Bama wins it next year with Tua, and then Lawrence wins it for Clemson again his last year in college before going pro.

January 9, 20197 yr I would say Bama will use this as motivation much like Clemson used last years loss as motivation coming into this year. I could see a rubber match of epic proportions next year. They both return a lot of horses. Can Clemson rebuild their O-Line (Which was the dominating force in this game). How well will Bama's secondary come around before next year!

And Alabama is not going away. I do really believe that Clemson recruiting will eclipse Alabama, Ross is a great example of that. Bama signs a bunch of dudes because they know they will have a bunch leave for the NFL and transfer out. Clemson signs smaller classes but just about everyone they sign is a stud. Recruiting rankings value quantity a lot.

I agree they are close to being on par but disagree with Clemson signing smaller classes. Except for 2017 the number of commits were pretty close to even. This latest class is 29 to 27

This latest class is 29 to 27 2018 Clemson 17 Commits Avg PR 93.45 Alabama 22 Commits Avg PR 91.94 2017 Clemson 14 Commits Avg PR 92.10 Alabama 27 Commits Avg PR 93.76 2016 Clemson 21 Commits Avg PR 90.30 Alabama 25 Commits Avg PR 92.54 Clemson definitely takes smaller classes regularly. For this years rankings Clemson is taking more guys because they have a bunch leaving for NFL. The caliber of players they are getting is very similar. Alabama just gets more because they have more players leave for the NFL or transfer out than Clemson does.
