Game time has been adjusted LATER for other games when traveling was an issue. Why has this game time been changed to earlier?

Raceland shocks the whole state of Kentucky by ending the reign of the NCC Thoroughbreads at Ram Stadium... I know this is a long shot but something about this Raceland team tells me that they are like the little engine that could.... plus Raceland is long overdue and the coaches and players have worked very hard and deserve it.... RAMS-35 NCC-31 in a thriller at Ram Stadium.... two teams from Greenup County will be in the state-semis

:thumb: I certainly hope that you are right!!! We appreciate your support and good luck to your Devils as well. I wish one of these games were on a Saturday so we could watch both teams play.

Paris needed a later start time for the game so their school buses could complete the afternoon school routes and then return to the school and transport players to Raceland. NCC requested the earlier game time so they could return home at a more reasonable hour. Either NCC has made other arrangements to transport their players via private coaches or they don’t need their school buses for afternoon school routes. Since NCC is a private school it’s quite possible that they do not bus their students to and from school because they live in too many varied locations. See the link below concerning charter bus service to the game for NCC students and fans.

Well I have to go out of town for a couple days so I won't be on BGP. I want to say good luck to both teams and hopefully it is a great game. See you there.

Safe travels.

This is paid for by the people who go though, the school can't cover those costs. Believe it or not, this private school doesn't have money. haha.

I don't know how the players will be coming, I know in the past, for state last year and a few other games busses were chartered, but that's only because our busses probably couldn't fit the whole team and coaches and equipment.

But they do have one of the most valuable plots of land in Newport

But that doesn't pay for busses or uniforms or Air Conditioning for that matter, haha.
I read the other thread a couple different times--and I am pretty sure that there is at least one post that states that the Raceland coaching staff is better.

Not to mention the fact that during the year, I have read many accounts of where Raceland "may" have the best staff in the state.

I agree--they are good. And they have done an excellent job. However, from personal experience, I have been in position to match whits with the best of them the last 8 years--and I just feel like there MANY that are better.

In the grand scheme of things--that means nothing . . . . . I can only quantify that with the fact that we have been in some battles with some very good schools--that are "historically" (meaning--state championship game/state championship winners) successful.

None of this is meant to be an insult . . . . please don't take it that way. . . . .

I mentioned that last thread to aim you at the position of one BGP that said do you really think your coaching staff is that good? Why yes we do just as NCC would think there coaching staff is that good. We are proud of where this coaching staff has took this group of boys. We think that they have took the boys talent and improved upon them. I think it is a given that Northern Kentucky schools have great coaches and talented players. I also think we old timers are just trying to lift our coaches and boys up and let them know what they have accomplished and we are proud. Hold your heads up high and act like you deserve to be on that field Friday night. Its to lift our team up not to put anyones home team down. No insult taken have a safe trip.

With rain in the forecast and possibly a muddy field, which team does this benefit?

OldRam - well stated! :thumb:

Once again, both of these teams' fans have way too much CLASS to be bashing the other's coaches or kids and I dont think anyone is interpreting the zeal & fervor as that at all - everyone on here seems to be simply "great fans" for their respective teams - you gotta admire that! :D ...both teams DESERVE to be here and I see this game as being a good one regardless of the weather or field conditions because they run similar offenses and the defenses are aggressive and fly to the ball!

Newport is in AA and were beaten by Mercer Co. last week.

Well sorry. Newport Central Catholic.

I have heard there will be a Community Pep Rally

at 4pm at the field entrance for the Ram faithful.

Everyone welcome and come in orange!!

also AM Radio 1080 will be broadcasting live there

from 4pm until 5:15pm.

NCC fans have a safe trip down. Long trip with

wet roads.
