NCC's school website is outstanding.

Congrats to whomever is in charge of that.

bear TRR is correct on Coach Ross, he has written one book that I know of on defense in h.s. football ( I can't think of the name of the book right now). Bill Tom suffered a stroke a few years ago and from what I understand is doing much better now. He (Ross) was an excellent football coach and he and his family remain in our prayers.

The name of the book is "The Convertible : The 353 defense"

Coach Ross also has a 2nd book out. I don't recall the name but i believe it was for coaches from small schools like us and how to get the most out of the kids you have.

He was at a Raceland game earlier this year and seemed to be doing well.

Newcath Wins BIG. Noone can score against their defence. The have allowed 125 points all year.(mostly offenceive turnovers)

With all dues respect, Raceland has one of the top defensive units in Class "A", and they've forced 12 turnovers in the first two rounds of the playoffs.

Ram-T Cat Fan - Good post! :thumb:

And being on the receiving end of 8 of those 12 turn-overs...I think you can emphasize the word "FORCED" because the RAM defense really took it to LCA last week and our kids were a little shell-shocked form the first play from scrimmage when (and I got to watch this on video) Jt Forrest #51 blew up our guard - and I mean de-cleated him and drove him back 2 yards to get to our ball-carrier at the LOS and drilled him and caused a fumble which Raceland got!

The Raceland ORANGE CRUSH is for REAL!

This should be an excellent game!

Good luck to both teams...:ylsuper:

Thanks for the support EagleEye!! That is the way J.T. Forrest has played since his early days in JFL. He prides himself on the hard hits. I really think he deserves to be an All-State selection at the LB position. Great kid with a super work ethic. IMO he is the best LB to play at Raceland.

Good post EE.

One item of interest, defensive lineman Clinton Thompson has 2 fumble recoveries run in for a TD this year. How many lineman dream of doing this just once?

Offensive turnovers! That gets me excited. That's just what the Rams live for.

Good point,The Greatest Fan. Clint T. seems to always be around the football.

That should read defensive lineman. For some reason it won't let me edit my own post:confused:

I mentioned that last thread to aim you at the position of one BGP that said do you really think your coaching staff is that good? Why yes we do just as NCC would think there coaching staff is that good. We are proud of where this coaching staff has took this group of boys. We think that they have took the boys talent and improved upon them. I think it is a given that Northern Kentucky schools have great coaches and talented players. I also think we old timers are just trying to lift our coaches and boys up and let them know what they have accomplished and we are proud. Hold your heads up high and act like you deserve to be on that field Friday night. Its to lift our team up not to put anyones home team down. No insult taken have a safe trip.

Great post and observations EE, as Cvillecat said - we have watch J.T. disrupt offenses from JFL on. He is an "old school" type football player that just loves to hit people. Thanks for your support and your LCA Eagles should be a force in the playoffs for years to come, a young and well coached team loaded with talent.:thumb:
