Raceland’s J.T. Forrest (51) and Caleb Caldwell tackle East Carter quarterback Nathan Carroll during their game earlier this season in Grayson. The Rams take on Newport Central Catholic tonight

Very good article. That kind of sums what we have all been saying about this team.

Good luck to the Rams!!!!!! Everyone at Russell will be pulling for ya! Last week when they annouced the score, everyone cheered. Hopefully we'll be doing the same this week. Hopefully we'll both be cheering at the end of the night!!

I haven't seen today's ADI article yet but I understand that they again said that last week was Raceland's first District title ever.  Like I said, I am not against the ADI at all and they have given Raceland some pretty decent write ups in the past but the guy that wrote the article after the LCA game last week put this in print and now again this week. This man writing the article and making that statement must have been in a cave for the last 30 years! I hope that someone who works or knows someone who works for thwe ADI would set this guy / guys straight. I believe that Raceland Football has 16 district titles to their credit: 1975,77,79,80,82,84,86,87,88,90,92,95,96,98,2002 and 2006. Again, we are not asking for "top billing" - just print what is correct and desrved. I will get off my soap box about the ADI and Raceland's titles now, just when I see/hear of things like this I wish people writing for the paper would check into things a little before they go to print. As for tonight.......GO RAMS!!!!:flame:

Just sent my e-mail through to Mr. Traylor.:thumb: I would hope that all Raceland football fans will do the same.

Been out of town all week, but back just in time for the big game. NCC is the class of single A football and is going to be a very tough game for the Rams. I hope they can pull it out. Just go out and play as hard as you can and see what happens.

The Rams that is.

I believe that NCC will be to much to for Raceland. They are a very good team, But Harris and Vicars will cause them problems all night long.

Roll out the red carpet,Because here come the BREDS!

Forrest has it right, Raceland will have to stop the run. Vicars has 1500 yards rushing and he is not that easy to bring down.

I know this is a little "off-topic", but today's Lex Herald-Leader had this in it:

Raceland grad Aaron Pettrey could play an important role in Saturday's college football showdown between No. 1 Ohio State and No. 2 Michigan. Pettrey, a freshman kicker for the Buckeyes, is 8-for-11 on field goals, and 47-for-50 on extra points.

I am pulling for RACELAND and I am an OSU graduate - so I felt like this was OK to post on this thread...

:ylsuper:

:thumb: :thumb: Imo that was more than o.k. EagleEye, of course I am bias!:D GO Rams, GO Buckeyes - Beat Meatchicken!!!:D :flame: and Go Aaron Pettry!
