November 12, 200619 yr All I know is when I heard the announcers say that Glenn Holt had just checked into the game, I immediately turned and said "If we have anyone that played on UK's offense in, then we must be hurting for bodies." Seriously, Glenn Holt? Who'd have thunk it when the Bengal's were in Georgetown? We had Chad, TJ, the Criminal, Washington, Tab, Chatman, Brazell, and then maybe Glen Holt. Just shows what it's come to......heck, they were talking about bringing Peter Warrick back a couple of weeks ago.
November 12, 200619 yr Garbage. Fire Marvin, and set this franchise back another 2 decades... :thumb: Heads rolling isn't the solution, and I honestly don't think changing the DC is either. Unless a particularly appealing name shows interest.......
November 12, 200619 yr Garbage. Fire Marvin, and set this franchise back another 2 decades... I'm not saying that at all...It is his responsability to get some one in here that can coach. :thumb:
November 12, 200619 yr That was "Future Coach" Where is he at? Im here, it just took me awhile to get out of my seat, because I still can not believe that we just blew that huge lead and lost the game...When I made that prediction it was because I thought the offense would get it going and I was right. But never did I think that the defense would turn around and give up 42 second half points in a game...I will eat whatever crow I have to take, because it wont matter because Im already hurt enough with just seeing them lose this game...:madman:

November 12, 200619 yr I have now officialy joined the rest of the bridge jumpers. Why is it guys like Mike Archer and Chuck Bresnahan have jobs, and Woody Woodenheifer does not? Good question. It seems to be a growing trend.
November 12, 200619 yr :thumb: Heads rolling isn't the solution, and I honestly don't think changing the DC is either. Unless a particularly appealing name shows interest....... Chuck has been here 2 1/2 seasons, right? I think that's more than enought time to get this thing going. I know injuries and an idiot have hurt, but this D is painful to watch on 3rd down...
November 12, 200619 yr I'm not saying that at all...It is his responsability to get some one in here that can coach. :thumb: Patience. The talent isn't there yet, or hasn't all been on the field at the same time. I don't see Ray Lewis out there, that's for sure. Marvin fired Leslie Frazier to hire Breshnahan. We are now in year 2 or 3 of Breshnahan. Changing the DC will just result in another reacclimation period, another reshuffling of personnel. Rome was not built in a day.........we are just 4 years past one of the worst seasons in Bengals history.

I know injuries and an idiot have hurt, but this D is painful to watch on 3rd down... Excruciating would be a better word. But what would you have him do? He's got an aging corner that he can't leave on an island, young guys that are continually missing assignments, and a general lack of talent due to injuries on the defensive side of the ball. You tell me one spot where this defense got better from last year with the current group playing. I'll show you at least 4 spots where it is now worse. I don't care for Chuck's scheme, but it has been effective if you look at the games where we've had our best players.
November 12, 200619 yr The TJ hit was brutal. Was Chad 1 on 1 on that last play? C. Henry is SOFT! CJ played GREAT!!!! He was even physical. The offensive play calling was much better today, except Rudi could have used more carries. The offense scoring quick got our defense right back in with no rest. What was the TOP? 20 needs to retire. LT is sick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
November 12, 200619 yr They also didn't convert a 3rd down on O the entire 2nd half... Your thoughts on Henry????
