Your second to last sentence is all I was ever saying, you've turned this into something it's not. I've never said anything about coaches strategies or gameplans or anything of that nature. Some things though could be helpful to another team such as certain characteristcs a QB likes to do or things a RB does to break tackles. That's all I was ever saying. You act like I said that everything said on here would be used during the planning of strategies for the game, that was never even close to what I was saying. I know Jeepman and I stated that this was not pointed in his direction. Please quit turning my words around to something they're not.

 

 

Don't you think tendencies etc. show up on film? i.e. the RB lowers his shoulder or bounces it outside, the LT has a different stance for pass vs. run plays, or the ROLB shows his blitz a little too soon. All of these things show up on film. By having the film to study for sometimes weeks at a time a coach has all he needs as far as info. on the opponent goes...IF he breaks down film well. Nobody has said anything of value on this forum that would have slipped by a coach during a good film session.

Come on UKCATSFAN I am sure by now the coaching staffs know each team very well. I know Corbin has more than ONE game film on Russell and im sure Russell has the same. Probably more like 7 or 8 game films. I am also sure that there are no strategies being drawn up from the bluegrasspreps forums.

Josh Wills of Russell is one that doesn't get the recognition he deserves in my opinion. Tenacious and very smart from his LB position. He is the true leader of the defense.

 

On offense, his blocking goes unnoticed by most fans but it is phenomenal. Playing on the line and doing the dirty work isn't very high profile. If you want to watch a kid who really loves the game of football and plays it the right way. Watch #56.

I would have to say Corbin's defensive line does not get the credit they should, but I guess that is probably the case with most lineman. Players such as Zach Woody, Sean Nolan, Jared Martin, Daniel Nantz, Michael Campbell, Will Stewart, Vernon Peters, Jesse Hayden & Dakota Taylor have played well all year long.

I noticed Corbin's defensive line play being a very strong suit in their two games against Garrard County. I know the Lions struggled running the ball all season, but they had trouble just getting to the line of scrimmage against Corbin.

Other than that a coach can draw up tendency sheets and adjust his call sheet accordingly, and essentially play the game on paper...except for the wrinkles I just mentioned.

Don't forget to mention the art of execution. It is one thing to scout but it is another thing to execute what you have been taught to do.
