Russell fans just need to sit back and watch Maglone run the Wing T come Friday. If Corbin beats them, then fair enough.

I think Russell fans are practicing on Thanksgiving.

Come on, why would you even answer that question. I understand all the friendly predictions and everything but don't give em' a strategy guide to Russell football. You don't think that some of these people on here are from the school or with the program in some sort. As far as many schools good at comtaining him, please name one for me other than the East game in which he sprained his ankle. The only person who has contained Kasey Clark is Coach Ivan McGlone. Kasey usually only played a half and if Coach didn't need him, he didn't risk injury to him. Last week he only had 8 carries because we didn't need him and he was done before halftime. Like I said, I'm all for the friendly jestures by the fans I'm not trying to be negative to anyone, especially Jeepman because he always speaks with his brain and not his heart and I like that, but you've got to draw the line somewhere. Especially when you have 2 teams who don't know each other very well other than a game tape they've watched, you want that element of surprize and if we "fans" tell all of the secrets you might as well through that element out the window.

Russell and Corbin are 2 very good football team who are capable of beating one another on any given day. If Russell comes out and plays the way they are capable of I think they'll win. If Corbin plays great then they'll probably win. If they both play great it will be a toss up, they both seem to match up well. I look forward to being at The Hank for one final time, this game means an aweful lot to these seniors and they do not want to leave Ivan McGlone field with their heads down. Good luck to both teams and may all of Corbin have a safe trip to Russell.

I understand what you are saying and I think you are just joking. I think if I took Russells play book and gave it to Corbin they would laugh. Now what if I gave them the game tape of the last two games that would be devistating to the Devils. Opps. They already have it.

I'm sure that the Corbin coaching staff pretty much know what Russell is going to do offensively and what Clark is capable of doing. I'm also sure that the defensive gameplan will be sound....................stopping Russell from doing what you know is coming is going to be difficult though.

If the Redhounds pull it off like you are predicting they will score about 1/3 of the points that Russell has given up all year 104. On a sloppy field? I don't think so. Of those 104 most were scored on the number 2 and 3 defense. So do you still think they will score 33 points on Russell? I'm not saying they won't. I just don't think they can.
I just think they will have to score in 30's to beat them. But they can score different ways special teams passing. big plays on turnovers. I guess I just hoping they can find away to get it done. But I also know that Russell is very good and it wil take the A game with a loy of luck.good luck to both.

Come on UKCATSFAN I am sure by now the coaching staffs know each team very well. I know Corbin has more than ONE game film on Russell and im sure Russell has the same. Probably more like 7 or 8 game films. I am also sure that there are no strategies being drawn up from the bluegrasspreps forums.

Thats the first time i have ever heard of any coaching staff potentially drawing up schemes from blugegrasspreps.com. I mean we are all fans here and most of us support our team through thick and thin, but i don't think we have the insight that the coaching staff does. You all say what you want, i know Coach Jewell won't be puling any strategies off of a russell fans post.

Where's the team staying tonite? There's a Best Western about two miles from the field.

Just in case.

Russell cannot run the ball. They have no passing game. The line is small and the backs are slow.

On defense Russell's D line gets no penetration and the LBs have a hard time covering sideline to sideline. The secondary has very little experience and no speed.

You forgot to add that all those good players that you see on the Russell tapes are either injured or no longer with the team.

Now wait a minute guys. I think he was joking with me. I'm not sure but give him a chance to respond before we tar and feather the man. He's been around a while and I'm sure he knows that Coach's aren't out there waiting for Jeepman to post so they can draw up thier game plan. Let's all enjoy.

Understood. It very well might happen. Can it?? Yes. Will it? I don't think so. Of course I didn't think that Rutgers could keep Louisville from scoring for the entire second half. So what do I know.

This will be a good game. I wish field condition would be better. They are not. It should be very muddy out there.

:thumb:  Let me print it off to show the coaches before pregame practice starts and they can change some things up.

Certain things, yes, but can you tell me anything that jeepman said thatwould be beneficial or couldn't be easily gathered?

Also no matter how many people the info passes through ultimately who would make it part of their strategy? The head coach.. and the point you just made furthe rillustrates my observation,, because then not only would a coach be making strategic moves based on fans opinions.. but it would be second hand information they are receiving.

This is a great site where educated fans (and some staff members) can discuss games.. sometime spertinent info may be passed..but 99% of the stuff on here will have ZERO bearing on the actual game. Talk it up, have fun, just use restraint is my opinion. I think jeepman ahs been around long enough to know where the line can be drawn.

Your second to last sentence is all I was ever saying, you've turned this into something it's not. I've never said anything about coaches strategies or gameplans or anything of that nature. Some things though could be helpful to another team such as certain characteristcs a QB likes to do or things a RB does to break tackles. That's all I was ever saying. You act like I said that everything said on here would be used during the planning of strategies for the game, that was never even close to what I was saying. I know Jeepman and I stated that this was not pointed in his direction. Please quit turning my words around to something they're not.

Thank you for taking it the way it was meant for, I didn't mean anything negative nor was anything pointed at you directly. I've always respected your posts for using your brain instead of your heart which is sometimes very difficult for me to do.
