Corbin newspaper is reporting that the Russell Red Devil football team sent a funeral wreath to the Corbin Redhounds yesterday. This doesn't sound like anything that Ivan would have endorsed. Instead, it sounds like a motivational prop from their own coaching staff or boosters.

 

Actually, it stated that it was 'allegedly' sent and had a photo. Pretty common practice at several schools, sometimes from the opposing school, sometimes from their own cheerleaders/staff/coaches/boosters as an added incentive. I don't read too much into it.

This seems like a trap game for Russell. I don't know why but something tells me Corbin is better than Russell fans are expecting. Not that the Coaching staff would make that mistake. But I just have that feeling.

 

I hope I'm wrong, I'd like to see the Red Devils again this year if Belfry is lucky enough to get by Middlesboro tonight.

Lets just say that Raceland has recieved "black roses" and "funeral wreaths" with sympathy cards and all before some of their GCHS and Fairview games in the past.:sssh: :sssh: :sssh: I will not mention names of the sender :eek: to protect the innocent. LOL
