Ashland used up all the postponements for our area.

How messy is the field? How much rain has it gotten the last few days?

 

was over to the field this evening. between the 30's in the middle of the field looks to have the potential to get real sloppy, real fast. The sidelines are a complete mess, but that is most likely from the slope and drainage of the field. The weather forecast is calling for no rain tomorrow but the temps to drop down into the 30's by the end of the game. If the cold front brings in some wind then it may dry out the field some, but we'll just have to see.

 

Lines haven't been striped yet either, I guess they are waiting until rain completely stops.

 

side note - Jeepman made a comment about the O and D lines improvement, and I echo those sentiments. Shaping up to be a great game.

 

Everyone from Corbin have a safe trip down, and I hope we can provide you with anything you need when you get to the game.

Thats the first time i have ever heard of any coaching staff potentially drawing up schemes from blugegrasspreps.com. I mean we are all fans here and most of us support our team through thick and thin, but i don't think we have the insight that the coaching staff does. You all say what you want, i know Coach Jewell won't be puling any strategies off of a russell fans post.:lol:

Now wait a minute guys. I think he was joking with me. I'm not sure but give him a chance to respond before we tar and feather the man. He's been around a while and I'm sure he knows that Coach's aren't out there waiting for Jeepman to post so they can draw up thier game plan. Let's all enjoy.

Well, gameday is finally here. This is will be a gutcheck for these defending champion Devils. Hope to see a solid kicking game and special teams effort. Defense needs to come out hitting early and often. If it's a passing attack that the Redhounds bring, linebackers and secondary need to ring their bells. Would love to see the O-line take control on the very first series.

Just left the field. It is in good condition for the amount of rain we had. The wind seems to be drying it out a little. It should be a great night for some football. Now that we have played the game for a week on BGP I still don't know who won. So it looks like we are ready for some football. Drive safely Corbin fans we want all of you here to watch this one.

I'm fixing to head out if Chant 50 would hurry his butt up and get here. Look forward to a great game tonight between two great and tradition rich former Champions! 2A football at it's best!

Corbin newspaper is reporting that the Russell Red Devil football team sent a funeral wreath to the Corbin Redhounds yesterday. This doesn't sound like anything that Ivan would have endorsed. Instead, it sounds like a motivational prop from their own coaching staff or boosters.
