November 30, 20187 yr This one will seem odd to some, but spend a good chunk of a Saturday with nice weather at Spring Grove Cemetery. There are some amazing things to see there, and if you do some research before you go there is some pretty cool historical connections to the cemetery.
November 30, 20187 yr Drive 60 miles east and get to a regional semifinal or final game at The Fieldhouse. Pregame meal at Pasquales's on me. Best high-school hoops atmosphere anywhere, and the company will be outstanding. It's been a LONG time, but I took in a regional final game there when Lofton was playing. It was pretty nuts.

Get a chilito from Taco Casa. Get a burger from Zip's, while sitting at the bar, and have the chili while you're there. When finished, walk around Mt. Lookout Square -- one of the coolest 'hoods in Cincinnati.
November 30, 20187 yr I've always enjoyed going to Jungle Jim's International Market. It's amazing what all they have there, I've never seen anyplace else like it. The one in Fairfield has the BEST bathroom door in the United States. Trust me.

November 30, 20187 yr 2. Go to an FC Cincinnati soccer game. I've done this one. A few times, actually. Nippert is one of this country's hidden sports treasures and has a fantastic environment for soccer. That atmosphere was only made better when Louisville City would come to town and win all the time.
November 30, 20187 yr Music Hall - Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra - Cincinnati Pops Orchestra - May Festival. I've been to Music Hall twice and can't wait to go back. Louisville has a theater comparable to Aranoff in the Center for the Arts and comparable to the Taft in the Brown. Even with the Palace, Louisville has nothing quite like Music Hall. Spectacular and massive old venue. We'll go to at least one opera when the season starts in June.

The special lady and her college friends are longtime Arthur's devotees so we've already been there a couple times for burgers.

Add oats to the pork sausage to make it go further. Personally, I like it pan-fried with a little maple syrup, though balling it up, dipping it in a little batter, and deep-frying it is also OBVIOUSLY delicious.

November 30, 20187 yr Hmmm...never expected a syrup component to this. Is the taste similar to a sausage ball? It can be, but there is some more that they do with it. It has been said that 99% of all goetta is consumed in Greater Cincinnati. During the summer, entire festivals are dedicated to goetta and the many ways it can be cooked and served. BTW, I like it with syrup too.
