It was disappointing not having Petrino there. With that said, I felt bad for the interim coach, can't remember his name. You could just tell he was in a tough spot with the state of the team and was trying to do everything the right way. Very hard spot to be in.

Agree, I saw where his player, #83 had made a butt gf himself and anyone could read his lips when telling the kid to get out / go to locker room. I respected that and then looked up and saw where he was back in the game. I wish the coach would've followed thru, that kid along w / a couple of others were embarrassing their team more with their actions, jmo.

Agreed and that's part of what I was referring to. Just felt bad for the guy all the way around. I don't know what he said to Stoops after the game, but it had the feel of an I'm sorry it got the way it did type of handshake. Hate to see any guy put in that situation.

I think they got Jones better meds this year, he was a lot calmer didn’t get many penalties and they used him in different ways, he didn’t just blitz and wreak havoc off the edge but was used in pass coverage, etc.

 

I wonder if the U of L staff thought Crum was ejected for touching the ref, which he wasn’t ( the ref seemed to look past him the photo - more lenient than most who would have ejected him). He did blow up at the ref then his coaches and even the AD, but then pleaded his case. I am a Cat fan and haven’t watched the Cards much this year and even then not closely, did Crum have history of incidents? I don’t remember him getting in trouble before

I don’t remember Stoops telling him to go to the locker room 5 times. Crum 1-upped Jones.
